  1. README for PortScanner 1.2
  2. --------------------------
  3. This port scanning program was created because there were no really good
  4. portscanner I written in C that had the level of verbosity I expected from
  5. a good scanner. Furthermore, I know of no other C scanner so simple and
  6. small, with this many features. The program is intended to test security
  7. by provinding a list of the listening TCP ports, including those with
  8. probable security hazards attached to them. 
  9.  
  10. If you want to contribute more code to the program, do so, but YOU MUST
  11. inform the author and give him a copy of the new code, and make the
  12. sources public mentionning the original auhtor(s).

  28. Computer NetWinder (ARM Linux) and is researching the implementation of
  29. threads for better performance.
